Our client is looking for a Field Technician to join their dynamic team. They are a reputable consulting engineering company. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior candidate or Matric Leaver who is eager to gain hands-on experience in the engineering field. The role will primarily involve travelling to various sites and buildings to assist with measurement tasks and general field support
Duties & Responsibilities
Site Measurements: Assist with on-site measurement tasks, including surveying and data collection for various engineering projects.
Travel to Sites: Travel to different locations as required, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
Field Support: Provide assistance to senior engineers and project teams with gathering relevant data from construction sites, buildings, and infrastructure.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of measurements, reports, and field data for further analysis by the engineering team.
Tool and Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain basic field equipment and tools used for measurement tasks.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure quality standards and timelines are met during site visits.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric Certificate
Own Transport and Valid Driver’s License (Essential). Ability to travel to various sites.
Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel frequently to different sites, sometimes over long distances.
Basic Technical Aptitude: Interest or basic knowledge of engineering, construction, or technical measurement tools is advantageous.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy when performing measurements and recording data.
Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to effectively report findings and work with team members.
Physical Fitness: Ability to work outdoors and perform tasks that may require physical activity
Package & Remuneration
R8000 CTC to R15 000 CTC per month based on experience and qualifications
