Kitchen staff, Smoothies, Juice Bar and Barista: Cape Town Durbanville

Introduction

We are hiring for a brand new Kauai opening at Cobble Walk Centre in Durbanville

Duties & Responsibilities:

Efficiently prepare meals and drinks items according to recipe specified standards. Ensure delivery of orders to customers as per customer service standards. Maintain store cleanliness as per hygiene standards.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but may be required to perform other duties not specified in the job description:

• Prepare store working area to ensure it is ready for trade by cleaning work areas, equipment, utensils and dishes.

• Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.

• Complete the checklist and ticks next to each task to confirm that it has been actioned.

• Prepare orders as per order slips

• Prepare products as per recipe and product manual – reference to daily production charts.

• Follow production chart and prepare items according to the food, meat and bread laws - cutting techniques to be followed thoroughly

• Greet and acknowledge customers

• Prepare and/or deliver presentable and correct orders to the customers

• Ensure correct packaging, correct product labels, cup sizes, serviette crockery and cutlery are included in takeaway bags and eat-in orders

• Complete preparation charts on time

• Must have good product knowledge

• Work speedily in all positions

• Assist management and other crew members in working together as a team

• Monitor and report waste to the manager

• Inform the manager when supplies are getting low or equipment is not working properly

Desired experience & Qualification:

In order to be considered for an interview, candidates must

• Be vibrant, reliable, honest and have a passion for the food industry

• Be able to work well under pressure

• Have passed Matric with good scores in Maths and English

• Have good communication skills

• Be able to work well in a team

• Live close to Durbanville, Cape town or have own transport

Previous experience in the same industry is an added advantage

Salary: From R5000p/m
