ABOUT THE BURSARY PROVIDER – REATILE FOUNDATION TRUST
The Reatile Foundation Trust is a wholly black-owned non-profit organization established by the Reatile Group in 2003 to take advantage of opportunities created by South Africa's economic transformation. Reatile has been successful in managing, operating, and growing a portfolio of investments, collaborating with some of the largest energy companies in the country and worldwide.

ABOUT THE REATILE FOUNDATION TRUST BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED
In collaboration with the University of Johannesburg, the Reatile Foundation Trust is inviting students to apply for its bursary programme for the 2025 academic year.
Bursaries will be awarded for undergraduate studies at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in the following fields:
Accounting
Chemical Engineering
Environmental Sciences
Industrial Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
MORE ABOUT THE REATILE FOUNDATION TRUST BURSARY PROGRAMME – EXPENSES COVERED & SELECTION
The bursary will cover the following expenses: registration fees, tuition fees, books, accommodation, and a meal allowance.
It is important to note that if a student fails a subject, they will be responsible for the cost of rewriting the test or course. The Reatile Trust will only sponsor a student once per level of study.
Graduates who earn qualifications in fields aligned with scarce and critical skills may also be given the opportunity to apply for an internship at Egoli Gas.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within one month of the application closing date. If you do not receive feedback by then, please consider your application unsuccessful.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE REATILE FOUNDATION TRUST BURSARY
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria before applying (failure to meet all requirements will result in disqualification):
You must be a South African citizen.
You must be black (as defined by the BEE Act).
You must have completed Matric.
You must be studying at the University of Johannesburg (UJ).
You must be studying full-time toward a qualification in one of the listed fields.
You must be entering your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study in 2025.
You must have achieved a minimum overall aggregate of 65% in 2024.
You must be in financial need.
Your combined household gross income must not exceed R30,000 per month.
You must not be receiving financial support from any other bursaries or third parties.
You must be eager to make a positive difference.

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documents along with your application (it is mandatory to submit these documents – failure to include any required items may result in the disqualification of your application):
Certified copy of your ID document
Full academic record (must include your marks, not just certificates)
Motivational letter showcasing your leadership qualities and explaining how you plan to make a difference after completing your studies (refer to our tips on writing a motivational letter for your bursary application)
Invoice of estimated costs
Proof of your parents’ or guardians’ combined household gross income (3 months of bank statements)
Curriculum Vitae (CV)
