The Santam Bursary Programme, part of the Skills Development Academy, is designed to grow top talent in the short-term insurance and agricultural sectors. It supports students in technical and scarce-skill fields, building a pipeline of industry-ready graduates with leadership potential.


📚 Fields of Study

Apply if you’re pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Honours degree in:

  • Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Analytics/Sciences
  • Agriculture (Crop Production, Plant & Soil Science)
  • Civil, Geomatics, Mechanical Engineering
  • Construction
  • Insurance, Risk Management, Technical Accounting
  • Finance, Economics, Mathematics


💼 What the Bursary Covers

✅ Who Should Apply

  • South African citizens
  • 2nd, 3rd, final-year undergraduates or Honours/postgrad students in 2026
  • Minimum 65% average in latest exams
  • Strong motivation for a career in insurance, agriculture, or finance
