🔑 Key Responsibilities
Dispensary
Report shortages/problems to Production Manager.
Execute weekly & monthly production schedules.
Conduct line openings in dispensing cubicles.
Verify raw material identification & accuracy before dispensing.
Assist in pilot scale trials for product development.
Manufacturing (Liquids, Creams, Ointments & Oral Solid Dosage)
Monitor production plans & assist supervisors to meet targets.
Ensure cleanliness & compliance with cGMP.
Supervise staff, ensuring discipline & effective performance.
Verify raw material usage and documentation.
Control production processes to maintain yields & compliance.
Packaging Department
Support daily packaging line planning.
Ensure lines are staged & compliant with SOPs.
Control packaging operations, line openings/closings.
Sign off packaging documentation before QA submission.
GMP & Compliance
Schedule and deliver SOP/GMP training.
Monitor housekeeping & hygiene.
Assist QA with audits, validation, and compliance checks.
Ensure personnel follow GMP protocols and dress codes.
Personnel Management
Liaise with Production Manager/HR on staff issues.
Conduct monthly staff discussions.
Foster a positive work culture and team development.
Data & Reporting
Capture accurate data into ERP systems.
Assist with QA system updates, BOM, and FEFO.
Train staff on ERP and data systems.
Prepare weekly & monthly production reports.
🎓 Desired Experience & Qualifications
Knowledge Requirements:
Pharmacy Act 53 of 1974
GMP guidelines (SA Guide & PIC/s)
Pharmaceutical manufacturing documentation
SOP compilation, review, and updating
Technical knowledge of production processes
Skills & Qualifications:
BPharm / Dip Pharm – Registered Pharmacist
Strong leadership & supervisory skills
Problem-solving and analytical mindset
Experience in managing production personnel
