We have an exciting opportunity available for a suitably skilled and education Graphic and Web Designer to join our progressive team!

 

Please note that this position is fully remote.

 

The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with guidance and minimal supervision whilst displaying a positive attitude and a strong commitment to excellence.

 

What’s the overall purpose of this position?

This position supports the marketing function contributing high quality web and graphic design support for the organisation’s brands in Australia and New Zealand (Pacific New Zealand, Pacific Australia) PD Insurance Australia, PD Insurance NZ, Blue Badge Insurance, Rapid Solutions).

 

Duties and responsibilities:

Web Design

  • Collaborating with your direct department manager, design team and wider Marketing team to continually improve and create modern, brand specific web layouts, design, and functionality.

  • WordPress development and maintenance experience, including but not limited to Elementor Page Builder, WP Rocket (page speed) etc.

  • Understanding of UX/UI Design.

  • Good understanding of front-end development programming languages: HTML and CSS.

  • Conceptualising original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks.

  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.

  • Compliance with all relevant Pacific policies and procedures, including specific role level responsibilities.

  • Good understanding of the latest web trends and techniques.

  • You will be required to carry out other duties that are within the limits of your skills, competence, training and/or experience as directed by your Department Manager.

Graphic Design

  • Assisting design team with all digital graphic design requirements.

  • Ensuring that all designed collateral meet printed colour, quality, and industry standards.

  • Partner closely with fellow team members, actively taking part in the creative process.

  • Creating eye-catching print, web, eDM and branding design projects.

  • Developing digital assets to support social medial channels.

  • Rolling out creatives across traditional and digital platforms including (but not limited to) promotional emails, infographics, brochures, posters, banners, adverts etc.

  • Have a good design sense, typography, and layout skills.

  • Ensuring that all design material reflects our various brand guidelines, brand values and personality.


Required Skills

  • Graphic Design: 3 to 4 years

  • Web Design: 2 to 3 years

  • Adobe Creative Suite: 3 to 4 years


Candidate Requirements

Requirements:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in design-related field.

  • 3+ years of experience as a Graphic & Web Designer.

  • Good understanding and experience in design principles, design trends, file formats industry standards, requirements, and development processes for both print and digital products.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Software Including (but not limited to) InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat etc.) and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong attention to detail with exemplary use of typography, colour, and imagery.

  • Be able to work in a very fast paced ever-changing environment with ease and handle a broad range of projects.

  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with guidance and minimal supervision whilst displaying a positive attitude and a strong commitment to excellence.

  • Coordinate with design team to conceptualize and deliver projects on time / great time management skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Other skills that will be advantageous:

  • Knowledge of SEO principles.

  • Design experience with email marketing channels such as HubSpot & Mailchimp.

  • Experience working in the financial services sector.

  • Displays resilience, tenacity, focus, discipline, and ability to foster positive relationships.

  • Passion for your skill and towards your projects.
