Our client requires the services of an Accountant with knowledge of statutory compliance and Tax to join their team. 

 

Key performance areas:

• Accounts preparation with specific focus on IFRS for SMME’s.

• Audit preparation.

• Financial analysis and review.

• Management reporting.

• Knowledge and application of VAT and Payroll taxes

• Delivering timely statutory financial statements and reports, and liaison with external auditors.

• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

• Tax calculation and Tax return preparation (Deferred tax as well as IT14)

• Annual Company secretarial duties (file CIPC returns and upload AFS)

• Risk & Compliance experience (Identify and control)

• Governance (Understand the concepts of King IV and similar recommendations)

• Ad hoc treasury duties

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

 

• Matric with an Accounting degree

• Must be familiar with statutory accounting principles and requirements

• 2 years experience as an Accountant in the Consulting/Construction field

• Excellent computer literacy – (Word, Excel and Outlook)

• SAICA/SAIPA registration would be ideal

• Experience with CaseWare would be advantageous

• Knowledge of statutory accounting principles, group consolidations and Corporate Income Tax will be advantageous

• Valid drivers license
