Graduate Mechanical Engineer

CSM Consulting Services (Pty) Ltd., based in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa, is actively seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to enhance their Building Services Projects team. The selected individual will be integral to the company's projects, collaborating with a multifaceted team of engineers and professionals. Minimum Requirements:

- A Bachelor's degree (BSc/BEng) in Mechanical Engineering.

- Preferred registration as a candidate engineer with ECSA.

- At least 3 years of experience in a consulting engineering firm, with a focus on Building Services Projects, Wet Services, HVAC, and Fire Protection.

- Familiarity with building contracts such as JBCC, GCC, NEC, among others.

- Proven experience in managing project budgets and meeting client expectations.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

- Competence with MS Office applications.

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Knowledge and experience with ISO quality management systems.

Responsibilities:

- Execute hands-on mechanical design for various projects, occasionally taking on the lead discipline engineer role.

- Generate design calculations, drawings, and specifications compliant with relevant codes and standards.

- Oversee and inspect mechanical installations during construction.

- Efficiently manage projects, including coordination with contractors and clients, and ensuring comprehensive tender documentation.

- Participate in meetings and contribute to technical reports and project correspondence.

- Work collaboratively with engineers from other disciplines to ensure seamless coordination of work.

- Undertake project and team administration duties as necessary.
