ABOUT THE SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED
Schneider Electric is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme for the 2025 academic year.
Bursaries will be awarded for undergraduate studies within the following STEM fields:

  1. Computer Science (BCom)

  2. Electrical Engineering (BEng/BEngTech/BScEng)

  3. Industrial Engineering (BEng/BEngTech/BScEng)

  4. Informatics (BCom)

  5. Information Systems (BCom)

  6. Mechatronics (BEng/BEngTech/BScEng)

  7. Software Engineering (BEng/BEngTech/BScEng)

Bursaries may also be awarded for postgraduate studies in exceptional circumstances.


MORE ABOUT THE SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC BURSARY PROGRAMME – EXPENSES COVERED & OTHER BENEFITS
The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses:

  • Full tuition fees

  • Accommodation

  • Books

  • Living allowance

Students will be assessed based on their financial need to ensure they have all the resources needed to study.

Other Benefits:

  • Career development workshops and training sessions designed to enhance skills and prepare students for the job market.

  • Opportunity to partake in vacation work during the winter vacation period (June/July) to gain practical experience and apply knowledge in real-world settings.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC BURSARY
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (failure to satisfy all requirements will result in disqualification):

  1. You must be a South African citizen

  2. You must be studying towards a degree qualification in one of the fields of study listed above

  3. You must be entering your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study (or postgraduate studies in exceptional circumstances)

  4. You must be studying at a recognised and accredited university in South Africa

  5. You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 70%, if in your 1st or 2nd year of study

  6. You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65%, if in your 3rd year of study

  7. You must have a proven financial need

  4. Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  5. Proof of financial need (proof of household income)
