What You’ll Bring:

✅ Matric or equivalent certification
✅ 1+ year experience in a SOC role (3+ years preferred in Support)
✅ Hands-on experience with:

• SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Security Event Correlation
  ✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  ✅ Technical writing & documentation experience
  ✅ Understanding of security standards & risk management
  ✅ Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  ✅ Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  ✅ Security+ Certification (advantageous but not required)

Your Role & Responsibilities:

🔹 24/7 Cybersecurity Monitoring & Response

• Shift-based role covering 365 days, 24/7 operations
• Monitor network activity to detect potential threats & escalate as needed
• Investigate security breaches, incidents, and vulnerabilities
• Correlate security events & report to Intermediate Security Analysts

🔹 Threat Detection & Risk Analysis

• Identify intrusion attempts & malicious activity
• Use SIEM, IDS/IPS, and security tools to analyze security alerts
• Conduct forensic analysis on suspicious events
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats

🔹 Incident Handling & Documentation

• Log and analyze security incidents in real-time
• Maintain and update security knowledge base
• Ensure accurate, clear documentation of alerts & investigations
• Provide insights on security trends & proactive risk mitigation

🔹 Security Tools & Enhancements

• Ensure security tools are functioning correctly
• Research & recommend security improvements
• Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives across teams
