The South African Speech Language and Hearing Association (SASLHA) promotes Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology professions, ensuring high industry standards and accessible services for individuals with communication disorders.

About the SASLHA Bursary 2025

SASLHA invites students to apply for the Myrtle L Aron Bursary for the 2025 academic year. This bursary aims to support deserving underprivileged students pursuing a degree in Speech-Language Therapy or Audiology at a recognized South African university.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must:
✔️ Be a SASLHA student member (or register as a member).
✔️ Have completed Matric.
✔️ Be pursuing a degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology.
✔️ Be entering 3rd or 4th year of study in 2025.
✔️ Have a strong academic record.
✔️ Be in financial need.
✔️ Be enrolled at an accredited South African university.
❌ Changing degree courses after application is not allowed.

📌 3 months' bank statements (from fee payer)
📌 Short video (max 2 mins) answering:

• Why do you deserve this bursary?

• How will you contribute to the profession?
  Video must be under 10MB, recorded via phone/laptop.
