• The assistance in the development of effective and sound maintenance strategies.
• The co-ordination of the execution of maintenance strategies.
• To ensure all relevant statutory documentation are up to date.
• The identification and management of all renewal and capital projects.
• Responsible to ensure that the MOC procedure is adhered to for all changes.
• Exploring the market for latest and improved technology to improve equipment reliability.
• Assistance in the cost effective maintenance through root cause analysis and defect elimination
• Co-ordinate next steps actions derived from surveys relevant to the Engineering Department (Lighting, Dust, Noise, Asbestos, Hygiene etc.)
• Update all asset registers (i.e ladders, portable electric tools, stairs, platforms etc.)
• Draw up scope of work documents to be used for tendering process (project related)
• Develop QC plans (i.e Centrifugal pump repairs)
• Draw up plotplans of equipment in plant
• Technical drawings for manufacturing parts/components as and when required.

Required Skills

• technical field : 1 to 2 years

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 1 – 3 years’ experience as Mechanical Technician in a FMCG environment
