ABOUT THE COMPANY: iStore Education specialises in working with schools and higher education institutes to plan and implement technology solutions to meet the needs of faculty, teachers and learners whilst positioning Apple products and curriculum at the centre of their teaching and learning with technology strategy.

ABOUT THE ROLE:  

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Key Account Manager to drive sustainable financial growth for Apple in education through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with existing and new education clients across regions. 

The ideal candidate will possess a quantifiable record of success in Education and/or Technology sales and be a seasoned sales professional with experience selling a complex, solution based service offering with educational benefit. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to solve for and address customer requirements and develop mutually profitable relationships. Also, the candidate must understand complex sales cycles, build consensus throughout multiple levels of organisations, and be adept at developing relationships at decision maker level. The ability to prospect and manage an existing account base as well as develop new business is essential.

Each account and its potential value contribution to the business would need to be clearly identified and translated into impact on the bottom line with full sales reporting and consistent CRM management.

Key qualifications, experience, skills and attributes:

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in education /technology based products.

  • Technology savvy - open to using various software, understanding technological solutions.

  • Enthusiastic about technology in education.

  • Experience with solution-based approach to solving customer requirements and an understanding of complex sales cycles.

  • Excellent conceptual, verbal and written communication as well as networking skills.

  • High quality preparation and presentation skills.

  • Be highly motivated and organised, work independently, and possess strong sense of timeous execution on tasks.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to, and drive change as required.

  • Experience in customer support.

  • Willing to be coached and taught according to Apple sales standard and apply to local education market for success of the business and the customer.

  • Demonstrate financial acumen with regards to targets and reporting

  • Demonstrate consistent ability to meet and exceed sales goals.

  • Be able to secure new business in highly competitive situations.

  • Innovative and creative thinking.

  • Attention to detail and administration ability.

  • Own transport essential.

  • Ability to travel

Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining a network of education customer contacts in the region and increase market share.

  • Develop strong relationships with the customer leading to a deep understanding of their needs.

  • Develop strong relationships with relevant iStore managers to promote the education retail channel activities.

  • Showcase iStore Education as a strategic fit for the institution through workshops and training sessions.

  • Drive implementation of the sales process and CRM.

  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.

  • Scheduling a minimum of 3 meetings per day, with a weekly call cycle plan in place.

  • Host regular events and training sessions to educate leaders, teachers, faculty, staff and students on latest education solutions and offer.

  • Sales initiatives planning and reporting.

  • Education pipeline in place, up to date and accurate.

  • Online sales training and product knowledge courses completed through required platform.

  • Develop and maintain strong Apple and industry relevant product knowledge through specified training requirements.

  • Achieve quarterly sales targets.

  • Develop and maintain accurate forecasts and reports.
