A well-established company based on the East Rand is looking for a Production Manager
Minimum education required: Matric / Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum experience required: at least 5 years within either of the following industries FMCG, Automotive or Plastic Fabrication
Computer packages: SAP experience will be a definite advantage
Duties and Requirements includes but is not limited to the following:
Follows and supervises the application of safety rules according to company policies and regulations.
Maintains order, organization, and cleanliness in all assigned areas, working in line with correct workplace hygiene practices
Leads, manages, coordinates, and supports the Production team managing priorities, eliminating bottlenecks and addressing critical issues to ensure maximum efficiency in production
Promotes successful long-term business strategies by effective, open two-way communication and feedback
Ensures smooth integration and communication with other functions
Sets daily, weekly, and monthly production plans with the support of Logistics to implement successful plans
Analyzes the headcount and work plan organization in the most effective way, minimizing overtime and driving high plant performance
Analyzes the daily performance of all work centers, addressing the root cause of discrepancies between production plan and actual performance
Works with Technical Manager to maintain machinery and equipment according to the production program
Offer support in new machine, new mold and product validation, and during the commissioning process
