💰 Bursary Coverage, Renewal & Selection
Successful candidates will receive funding of up to R40 000 per year, covering:
- Registration & Tuition Fees
- Prescribed Textbooks and Study Materials
The bursary is renewable each year based on academic performance. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted within 6 weeks after the closing date.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the City of Johannesburg (CoJ) Bursary 2026, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen permanently residing in Johannesburg, Gauteng
- Be currently in Matric (Grade 12) or have completed Matric
- Be studying or planning to study full-time toward an undergraduate qualification in one of the approved fields
- Be enrolled or accepted at a recognized tertiary institution in South Africa
- Have a strong academic record
- Not receive any other bursary or financial aid
