Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

  • Provide inspiring and results-driven leadership to regional finance teams.

  • Mentor and coach subordinates to implement effective financial and operational plans.

  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and on time.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, respect, and accountability.

  • Track and report on progress against regional financial goals and initiatives.

Operational & Financial Planning

  • Develop and execute regional targets for short, medium, and long-term growth.

  • Achieve profitability and growth objectives through strategic financial oversight.

  • Implement and monitor effective financial controls and compliance standards.

  • Streamline financial processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.

  • Oversee monthly balance sheets, cash flow analysis, and annual financial statements.

Stock Control & Systems Management

  • Optimize business performance through the Kerridge Information System.

  • Support stock planning cycles and provide financial analysis to guide decision-making.

  • Drive process improvements to strengthen financial and operational efficiency.

Credit & Risk Management

  • Enforce corporate credit policies and strategies.

  • Identify and manage financial risks within the region.

Reporting & Administration

  • Research and apply financial best practices to enhance performance.

  • Produce analytical reports to support divisional goals.

  • Refine administrative workflows to improve operational effectiveness.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: BCom Accounting degree or higher financial qualification (essential)

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a senior financial management role within a retail, commercial, or FMCG environment

  • Additional: Grade 12 (Matric) required
