ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: STRATEGIC PLANNING

SALARY : R393 711 per annum (Level 09)

REQUIREMENTS : An equivalent education recognised National Diploma/Degree in Public Management, Public Administration, Economic Management Science, or an equivalent qualification 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a position paying at least level 7 or level 8 in a position involving strategic planning and administration or a similar field knowledge of strategic planning in practice knowing the strategic planning procedures used by the government Advanced policy development/implementation strategy experience as well as practical office management, technology, or public management experience will be advantageous. understanding of relevant laws, rules, and prescriptions understanding of PSET awareness and comprehension of TVET/CET administration knowledge of the higher education industry corporate governance knowledge. Understanding cash flow management, cost center budgeting, and spending Public Service Regulations, Public Service Act, Labor Relations Act, and any other relevant legislation, including the Employment Equity Act a valid driving permit conversant with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and computer literate good presenting, report-writing, and verbal and written communication abilities Possessing effective interpersonal, management, and team-leading abilities Excellent organizational, financial, presentation, report-writing, analytical, client-focused, and project management skills. Independent working ability Integrity, commitment, commitment to the customer, proactivity, and loyalty.


DUTIES : ln charge of creating the college's strategic and performance strategies Support the College's strategic planning and other planning sessions. Facilitate recurring strategic reviews that take departmental and College priorities into account. Promote the creation and execution of plans and initiatives for improving service delivery. Reports on institutional performance and strategy should be coordinated and compiled. Managers being equipped with knowledge of the College's operational planning framework Provide executive support services to the principal's office. Represent the Principal in any delegations of work. Construct and ready the Principal's presentations Supervise the employees in the principal's office and make sure that all strategic goals, performance program metrics, and targets adhere to SMART principles as prescribed by the Treasury and Auditor-General.
