POST 04/04 : ASSISTANT REGISTRAR OF DEEDS: EXAMINATION AND SORTING

SALARY : R766 584 per annum (Level 11), (all-inclusive package to be structured in accordance with the rules for MMS)

REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 Certificate as well as a National Diploma in Law, a National Diploma in Deeds Registration Law, a Buris, a B Proc, or an LLB are requirements for applicants. 4 years minimum of middle management experience in a Deeds environment extensive and shown knowledge of, ability to interpret, and application of different laws and Acts relating to the registration of deeds, including (but not limited to): the Deeds Registries Act, the Sectional Titles Act, ordinances, proclamations, case law, and common law. the capacity to speak confidently before a professional audience. the capacity to communicate knowledge. Planning and carrying out abilities. talents in communication. Abilities in project management.
DUTIES : Keep an eye on the document and deed examination. Verify the registrability of deeds and documents and take appropriate action. Give conveyancers a hearing, make a decision, and offer instructions. Contribute to the updating of the legislation, draft circulars, and the deeds practice handbook. Report on the efficiency, standards, and performance of the examination team. Adapt laws, guides, and circulars. Do the deeds. Verify that the appointed appearer has signed the execution clause and the registration request. Verify the certificates' expiration dates. All registrable deeds and paperwork must be signed. Problems with the execution of deeds should be reported to the ARD or DROD in charge of execution. drafts of court reports. Get the motions notice and all accompanying paperwork. Examine the motion notifications and any supporting materials. Investigate the information there. assemble a report for the court and include any pertinent paperwork. oversee the signing of paperwork and deeds. Attend to requests for delayed and accelerated deed execution, and make final black booking arrangements. Inform conveyancers of issues with deeds that arise during execution and offer assistance. Keep an eye on the conveyancers' execution register. Reject documents that cannot be registered. Take care of concurrent registration with other offices. Organize the deed distribution. Spot-check the information on the distribution list against real batches of deeds. Check returned deeds against the distribution list and start the necessary correction action. Maintain data, create exception reports, and put corrective actions in place. Eliminate and prevent backlogs. Respond to inquiries about transactions on the system. Approve the request for a deed withdrawal. Manage the handbook for updating procedures.
