SALARY : R1 308 051 per annum (Level 14), (an all-inclusive remuneration package). The package includes a basic salary (70% of package) and a flexible portion that may be structured in terms of the applicable guidelines. Candidates earning more than the first notch of the Salary Level will be treated according to provisions in PSR 44.

REQUIREMENTS: A Grade 12 Certificate, along with an NQF level 7 qualification recognised by SAQA, preferably in Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Administration, Strategic Management, or equivalent management related qualification in strategic and executive support. An experience of at least five years planning, managing, monitoring, and evaluating strategies at the senior management level. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and the Microsoft Suite. The Nyukela Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme to be completed before appointment to the post. a driving license that is valid. Advantageous additional requirements a postgraduate degree in a similar field (NQF level 8 as recognised by SAQA). Project and program management. handling of finances. change administration. management of knowledge. providing services. Analyzing problems and solving them. customer focus and client orientation. Communication (verbal and written) (verbal and written). Technical abilities: Skills in strategic planning, research, development, and review. Performance planning and corporate governance. understanding of the policies and guidelines for public service strategy development, monitoring, and evaluation. Understanding of local government laws as well as the Public Service Act, the Public Service Regulation, and the laws governing public finances. understanding of the intergovernmental relationship frameworks. knowledge of the protocol and practices of the Cabinet and the Parliament. Understanding and interpreting COGTA mandates and programs, as well as governmental regulations. understanding of the government's framework for improving service delivery and the reform of public services. Excellent relations with stakeholders.



DUTIES : The chosen applicant will carry out the following tasks: Lead all activities in the Office of the Director-General and offer the Director-General strategic support. oversee and manage all planning, reporting, and associated activities on a strategic and operational level. Prepare written criticism and comment for the Director-General after analyzing all written communication, correspondence, and documents that are directed to him or her. Give internal governance forums and intergovernmental relations forums leadership and direction on corporate secretariat services. processing and coordination of electronic submissions. Ensure coordination and oversight of parliamentary cluster and cabinetwork, as well as foreign and donor relations, under your direction.
