POST 05/32 : ASSISTANT DIRECTORS (PROVINCIAL SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT SUPPORT COORDINATORS)

SALARY : R393 711 per annum (Level 09)

REQUIREMENTS : The applicant must hold a three-year relevant post-matriculation qualification in education (NQF level 6) or an equivalent degree, which must include professional teacher preparation and registration with SACE as a professional educator; An advantage would be a senior degree; Academic success must be accompanied by at least three years of teaching experience and at least two years of relevant supervising experience. a thorough knowledge of the South African educational system; a track record of supervising the execution of projects; a track record of producing high-quality work under pressure; being able to handle deadlines; the capacity to collaborate with persons of various levels; ability to operate independently and as a member of a team; the analysis and application of performance data to spot and correct performance gaps; a thorough understanding of the development of programs and the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS); educated on computers; strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; competent verbal and written communication; process administration; willingness to travel regularly; a valid driver's license; ownership of a vehicle.



DUTIES : The chosen candidate may collaborate with circuit managers to create a data-driven strategy for supporting school improvement; join specialized, multidisciplinary teams to manage a range of actions aimed at raising educational standards; Create a strategy for addressing identified areas of weakness to enhance instruction; In order to ensure that all deliverables are delivered (meet or achieved) by the specified dates, evaluate the circuit priorities, deliverables, and calendars (year plans) and engage with the selected circuit managers to implement circuit improvement strategies; oversee the development, execution, and monitoring of response improvement plans on behalf of the DBE in order to document lessons learned for future replication; oversee the execution of the turnaround plans for every circuit that has been identified; Follow-up activities should be performed to ensure the longevity of skills, and annual, quarterly, and progress reports on programs should be compiled and presented.
