📋 Job Overview

Mascor Fuel’s Sasol Salt Rock branch is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to drive operational efficiency at the branch level. This role focuses on accurate reconciliation, reporting, compliance, and support for day-to-day financial and administrative functions.


🚀 Key Responsibilities

🗃️ Administrative Duties:

  • Ensure all daily sales transactions are captured in the accounting system within 24 hours.

  • Manage document flow and ensure timely approval and payment processing.

  • Resolve internal and supplier queries efficiently.

  • Track and ensure receipt of all supplier credit notes.

  • Control losses (≤3% for non-food, ≤3% for food stock turnover).

  • Oversee branch stationery and stock levels.

  • Lead payroll data entry and attendance tracking.

  • Complete accurate month-end reconciliation and documentation.

💵 Financial & Operational Reconciliation:

  • Supervise shift cash/card balancing and daily sales reconciliation.

  • Ensure on-time processing of supplier invoices.

  • Manage petty cash and ensure compliance through regular reconciliation.

  • Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accuracy.

  • Conduct wet stock and franchise sales reconciliations.


Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Grade 12

  • Ideal: Diploma in Business or Administration

Experience:

  • 3–5 years in an admin supervisory role—preferably in the fuel industry

Legal Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Own reliable transport

  • Willingness to work overtime as required

Key Competencies:

  • Strong planning and time management

  • Able to work under pressure and independently

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Skilled in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Supervisory skills with an ability to lead processes and delegate effectively
