🌾 Position Overview

Our client, a well-established agricultural trading company operating across Southern Africa, seeks a proactive and detail-driven Administrative Coordinator. You’ll play a pivotal role in managing import administration, logistics coordination, invoice processing, and regulatory compliance.


Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field

  • 2–4 years’ experience in import administration, logistics, or supply chain

  • Strong knowledge of South African import and customs clearance procedures

  • Experience with accounts payable/receivable and basic accounting

  • Proficiency in Excel and general computer literacy


📋 Key Responsibilities

📦 Import & Logistics Administration

  • Coordinate supplier contracts (foreign & local)

  • Liaise with import agents for documentation and clearance

  • Track shipments and address logistical delays

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date import records

🧾 Invoice & Payment Processing

  • Process AP/AR invoices for imported goods

  • Ensure timely, accurate payments and record-keeping

  • Align financial processes with company policy

📝 Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with customs laws and import regulations

  • Assist with internal audits

  • Prepare reports on import activity and financial status

🧰 Administrative Support

  • Assist sales and logistics teams with ad hoc administrative tasks

  • Prepare presentations and reports for management

🤝 Relationship Management

  • Liaise with suppliers, agents, banks, and logistics providers

  • Resolve documentation, payment, or inventory discrepancies
