✨ About the Role
Join the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies as a permanent Administrative Officer supporting our Legal Services & Legislative Drafting unit. Play a key role in strengthening public service delivery through high-quality administrative and secretarial support.
💰 Salary
R325 101 per annum (Level 07)
✅ Minimum Requirements
Qualification: NQF Level 6 in Public Administration, Office Administration, or related field (SAQA-recognised)
Experience: 1–2 years’ administrative/secretarial support in a corporate services management environment
Technical Skills: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet & Email)
Soft Skills: Planning & organisation, listening, effective verbal & written communication, interpersonal relations, flexibility
Knowledge: Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, PFMA, HRM processes and procedures
📌 Key Duties
Deliver secretarial & administrative support, liaising with stakeholders
Organise meetings, workshops, travel & accommodation bookings
Serve as Chief User Clerk: manage procurement of stationery & IT consumables
Prepare and consolidate financial, operational & procurement plans and reports
Handle correspondence, manage effective filing systems and certify invoices
Process claims, distribute documents and maintain the Chief Directorate database
Comply with all relevant public service prescripts and regulations
