✨ About the Role

Join the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies as a permanent Administrative Officer supporting our Legal Services & Legislative Drafting unit. Play a key role in strengthening public service delivery through high-quality administrative and secretarial support.


💰 Salary

  • R325 101 per annum (Level 07)


✅ Minimum Requirements

  • Qualification: NQF Level 6 in Public Administration, Office Administration, or related field (SAQA-recognised)

  • Experience: 1–2 years’ administrative/secretarial support in a corporate services management environment

  • Technical Skills: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet & Email)

  • Soft Skills: Planning & organisation, listening, effective verbal & written communication, interpersonal relations, flexibility

  • Knowledge: Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, PFMA, HRM processes and procedures


📌 Key Duties

  • Deliver secretarial & administrative support, liaising with stakeholders

  • Organise meetings, workshops, travel & accommodation bookings

  • Serve as Chief User Clerk: manage procurement of stationery & IT consumables

  • Prepare and consolidate financial, operational & procurement plans and reports

  • Handle correspondence, manage effective filing systems and certify invoices

  • Process claims, distribute documents and maintain the Chief Directorate database

  • Comply with all relevant public service prescripts and regulations
