INTERNAL / EXTERNAL VACANCY

IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this "mine of the future". Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

Concrete Batch Plant Operators x 2

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):

Shovels and sweeps spilled material from walkways Lubricates batch plant as needed controls

inventory of materials and admixes inspect and explore further.

Lubricates batch plant as needed. Tends batch mixing equipment that blends raw ingredients; like

sand; soda ash; cullet others.

Controls inventory of materials and admixtures.

Inspects and reports condition of machinery for items needing repair or service. Monitoring and

overseeing plant operations. Assisting with start-up; shutdown; and operations of facility equipment;

identifying problems that arise.

Diagnoses problems and performs mechanical repair and maintenance.

Operate in accordance with safe working procedures. Conducts quality assurance tests to ensure

products comply with industry standards and customer orders. Ensure the batch meets the customers,

order and the batch against specifications and regulations of the requirements.

Requests store, and control material and assisted with a variety of site labour tasks as required

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Batch Plant Operators certificate

Batch Plant Operator must understand and know how to use the computerized and other automated

equipment's necessary for the operation.

EXPERIENCE:

Must have min 3-5 years in the Construction Industry with a traceable reference Competency certificate proving his position as a Batch Plant

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Willing to work continuous operation shifts and overtime as and when required

Must be medically fit and willing or able to work on extreme heights when required

Good problem-solving abilities.

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

Must be a mature self-motivated and well-disciplined individual

Demonstrate dedication in meeting deadlines

Stress tolerance

Promote a high safety standard
