An excellent opportunity has become available to join a leader within the Construction Services industry, as an Internal Auditor. The role is based in the Pretoria area.
Responsibilities:
Develop and Implementing Policies and Procedures to Assure Compliance with regulatory and third party agreements. (30%)
· Take Full responsibility and accountability for implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and third-party agreements
· Formulating a compliance strategy to manage risk within business processes
· Interacting with third parties e.g. auditors, financiers
Conduct audits and investigations (20%)
· Take Full responsibility and accountability for conducting audits and investigations
· Establishing an audit plan
· Auditing controls at each branch
· Auditing internal processes and procedures
· Reporting on all audit findings
· Reporting noncompliance to management
· Recording and tracking all audit findings and recommendations by Exco
Ensure compliance on Project Applications (5%)
· Take Full responsibility and accountability for ensuring compliance on projects
· Checking that securities are in place before clearance is given on a project
· Checking that all documents are in place and valid
· Checking that all required signatures are in place
· Checking that bank profiles are in accordance with signed mandates
Ensure Compliance on Projects (5%)
· Checking that all client companies are registered on CIPC and have a tax clearance
· Keeping a register of all insurance policies and ensuring that fees are paid
· Review monthly signed reconciliations
· Verify that site visitations by Support Manger
· Auditing internal policies and procedures on existing projects
Other Management, Administration and Reporting Responsibilities (20%)
· Manage the Internal Auditor
· Create and Capture profiles for new projects on Umbrella
· Review Application Appointment letter / documentation to ensure the content complies with internal policies.
· Reporting – Summarize capital and maintenance programmes, collecting information from various stakeholders
Required Skills

- Finance or legal : 1 to 2 years
Candidate Requirements
Requirements:
• Degree / Diploma in Finance or Legal
• Working towards a professional compliance office registration
• Knowledge of audit processes
• Knowledge of computerised systems
• 1-2 years’ management experience
• Ability to maintain knowledge of legislative changes and developments
