SALARY : R766 584 per annum (Level 11)

REQUIREMENTS : The applicant must have a three-year relevant post-matriculation degree (NQF level 6) or an equivalent degree and four years of relevant experience at the supervisory level; An advantage would be a postgraduate degree; Deputy Principal or Principal has at least five years' experience in management and leadership at the school level, or with other appropriate managerial experience; three years of expertise managing and implementing projects to enhance school development; a thorough knowledge of basic education legislation, basic education policy efforts, and the sector; understanding of research techniques and awareness of evolving educational trends; understanding of project management and the matrix; solid analytical abilities; exceptional people management abilities to effectively lead a diverse staff of school improvement support officials and deal with the difficulties of collaborating with circuit managers; writing and speaking abilities for reports; MS Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook) on a computer; the capacity to operate under deadline constraint; the capacity to operate autonomously without supervision and to fulfill goals; a readiness to put in long hours of labor and travel. a driving license that is valid.
DUTIES : In order to support struggling circuits and schools, the chosen candidate will communicate with district officials, particularly district directors and circuit managers; Determine what obstacles there are conceptually, practically, and operationally to effective quality education delivery in schools; lead and assist a group of provincial-based officials in building circuit and school ability to use data to support schools and specific teachers; implement and oversee targeted initiatives for better performance through greater use of assessment data; Implement and oversee numerous initiatives aimed at raising educational standards in circuits with poor performance; Give circuit managers of circuits with poor performance and circuit managers operating in incredibly difficult circumstances coaching and mentoring; Create a strategy for resolving the shortcomings found to enhance management, leadership, and collegiality in the classroom; oversee the turnaround strategy's execution for each circuit that is doing poorly; Follow-up activities should be taken to ensure the longevity of skills; maintain a directory of experts and initiatives that are used in schools; assemble and deliver yearly, quarterly, and progress reports on the programs run; analyze reports to find new trends within districts and circuits by identifying conceptual; Creating, editing, compiling, and analyzing reports; Make suggestions for additional growth and development; organize and carry out meetings with regional teams; Whenever necessary, offer suggestions and assistance; carry out any additional tasks that the Director deems suitable from time to time.
